Nicole Kidman

This is as close as I have to a selfie with Nicole Kidman. I did officially take a picture with her, but not only did it not turn out, but it is lost to history. At the Emmys in 2012.

Lucy Liu

Back in college at the University of Michigan, my fraternity was paired with Lucy Liu's sorority for Greek Week. One of my friends partnered with Lucy for the Greek Week dance contest, and I shot this footage with the large side-loader VHS camera that I received from my parents for my 21st birthday. I was standing on top of the piano in our fraternity's living room. I did not make the connection until years later when a friend of mine was talking about the rehearsal, and I had an "I know I've seen this before" moment. Enjoy...

Neal Adams

In June 2005, my wife and I were invited by friends of mine who worked at the time for DC Comics to their screening of the Christopher Nolan film, "Batman Begins". My wife was chatting up another woman in the line while we were waiting. When her husband stepped into line, I recognized him to be Neal Adams, one of the classic Batman artists in comics history. He is also responsible for getting Jerry Siegel and Joe Schuster long-deserved payment and creators' credit for their creation of Superman. After chatting for a bit, I mentioned that I would be at Comic-Con in San Diego the next month. When I went to visit them in San Diego at their booth, they recognized me and were terrific. Neal signed my copy of "Batman Illustrated by Neal Adams"...

While in line for the movie, another gentleman walked up. Neal says "Hey Denny!" It was Denny O'Neill, who co-created Ras al Ghul. Neal and Denny both signed this copy of Batman (I didn't get them to sign it, but I do own it), which is the first official appearance of Two-Face since the Golden Age...

I also got Neal to sign my copy of Justice League of America #86...

Superman Returns one-sheet, signed by Brandon Routh and Sam Huntington

Signed by Brandon Routh (Clark Kent/Superman) and Sam Huntington (Jimmy Olsen). In 2014, when Sam Huntington signed the poster at DragonCon, he asked me if there was anything special that I'd like him to write. After thinking for a moment, I asked him whether there was a little piece of trivia about the movie that not too many people knew about. With that, he wrote "I stole the bowtie", referencing Jimmy Olsen's trademark apparel. In 2017, when I brought the poster to Brandon Routh, I asked him to do the same thing. His inscription reads "I have a fake wig curl - that was never used".

Keke Palmer

In LA on the Paramount set of "True Jackson, VP" in 2009. Keke asked, since they were twins, whether they were appearing on the show.

Script signed by Keke Palmer and Greg Proops on the day of the set visit...

Laverne & Shirley

Imagine Penny Marshall and Cindy Williams walking down this street, arm in arm, saying "Schlemiel, schlemazel, hasenpfefer incorporated." This was taken while at the Paramount lot for a conference.

Batman '66 TV Locations

While on the Warner Brothers lot one day, I made the pilgrimage to the Gotham Police Commissioner's office, where the Batmobile would pull up in front, the Dynamic Duo would hop out and run up the stairs and into the doors. Behind the doors is a room the size of a closet.

Then on National Batman Day in 2016, we went hiking in Bronson Canyon, the site of the Batcave entrance. My wife thought it would be a nice homage to use a dutch angle on the photo, like they used with the villains on the show. "Gotham City 14 miles".

NBA on TNT

Yitzchak Rabin

Taken in early 1992 at the Plaza Hotel in NYC at the end of a UJA luncheon. My grandfather, in between Prime Minister Rabin and me, put his arm around Rabin, and I thought the Israeli Secret Service was going to have a fit (or worse). Hence, the worried expression on my face.

At my grandfather's table was a man who was quizzing me about where my ex-wife and I were going on our honeymoon. When I told him "France", he gave me his card and told me to go to Mumm for the champagne tour. He wrote a message on the back of his card to give us "the royal Mumm treatment", and he told me to give it to the person at the desk. When we finally got to Mumm for the tour, I handed the card to the person at the desk, and they asked me how long I'd known Mr. Bronfman.

Cast of "Ed" signed bowling shirt

Birds of Prey: Ashley Scott, Dina Meyer and Rachel Skarsten

Signed at DragonCon 2017, where the BoP reunited for the first time since the show went off the air. I was first in line with Ashley Scott and she told me that this was the first time (and first item) that she had ever signed at a Con. Rachel Skarsten told me that she was half the age that she was at the time of the signing when she was on the show. All three were impressed that I had kept this poster, which I got through work when the show first went on the air.
