At the 2016 Emmys, Ru took issue with me because I did not give him a "3 count" prior to snapping the original picture. We re-took one (this one), and he was much happier. Ru was right and I was wrong.

UPDATE: I brought this picture to the 2018 Emmys. I ran into RuPaul (an Emmy winner himself that night) at the HBO Emmys after-party, and I asked him to sign the photo. He had a purse in one hand and his Emmy in the other. He refused to allow me to hold either so he could sign. Instead, he leaned over, thanked me and gave me a big kiss on the cheek.
